Turquoise (pseudo Beryl)
Apache Canyon Mines, Halloran Springs District, Turquoise Mts, San Bernardino Co., California, USA
Sold
Miniature
35 x 20 x 15 mm overall
9 mm crystal
A sharp, well-formed crystal of light-blue Turquoise, measuring 9 mm across, which pseudomorphs a tabular, doubly-terminated hexagonal Beryl crystal with corner modifications. It has been expertly exposed from its Quartz-rich matrix. These are hard to get out of the matrix intact and this is a good one, in excellent condition. The mines are owned by the Nazelrod Family, and limited production is still done mainly with hand tools.
