Wulfenite
Stevenson-Bennett Mine, Organ District, Organ Mts., Dona Ana County, New Mexico, USA
$450
Small Cabinet
73 x 57 x 29 mm overall
up to 7 mm Wulfenites
Many blocky, tabular, butterscotch to orange, translucent crystals of Wulfenite, to 7 mm across cover this large specimen. These thick tabular crystals are reminiscent of those from Los Lamentos, Mexico, and some have an arrowhead shape. The Wulfenites are lustrous to satiny, and some have a thin, opaque, tan coating of secondary Wulfenite. There are a couple of small contacted areas, as visible on the photos. This specimen from this now closed, classic American locality was collected in March 1991 by Tom Hales.
Specimen # BG93-2
