Carrollite on Calcite with Chalcopyrite
Kamoya II Mine, Shaba Cu belt, Katanga (Shaba) Province, Democratic Republic of Congo
Sold
Small Cabinet
69 x 43 x 38 mm overall
Lustrous, pristine crystals of Carrollite to 11 mm are perched on an incomplete rhomb of lustrous, light-grey Calcite. Minor bright, brassy Chalcopyrite accents the specimen. These were recovered by the Gobin brothers in 2003, and this is a fine example.
