Fluorite
Bor Quarry, Dal'negorsk, Primorskiy Kray, Russia
Sold
Small Cabinet
66 x 45 x 39 mm overall
This is a very unusual specimen from the Bor Quarry. Lustrous, pale lavender cubes of Fluorite with dark purple corners, to 9 mm, cover yellowish and dark purple sulphide matrix. Purchased by Carolyn from Ray Grant in 1997, who claimed it was collected in 1928 or 1929 and carried out in miner's lunchbox. I only see one very small ding with a 10x loupe. I have never seen another Fluorite like this from Dal'negorsk. Fluoresces intense purple.
