Fluorite on Orthoclase
Erongo Mountain, Usakos and Omaruru Districts, Erongo Region, Namibia
Sold
Miniature
37 x 28 x 20 mm overall
A sharp, gemmy to translucent cube of green Fluorite, measuring 12 x 10 x 10 mm, is finely perched on a floater crystal of cream-colored Orthoclase. There is a small chip visible with a 10x loupe on the rear corner of the Fluorite that is not visible when displayed, and the Fluorite is otherwise in perfect condition. This excellent specimen was purchased in 2006, and seems to be a floater with no evident point of attachment. According to Namibia expert Chris Johnston, this specimen is likely from the original alien-eye pocket.
