Annabergite
km-3 Mine, Lavrion District Mines, Lavrion (Laurium) District, Attikí (Attika) Prefecture, Greece
70 x 45 x 20 mm overall
This is classic material from the well-known km-3 locality, which is one of the most famous localities within the Lavrion district, known for the world's best Annabergite specimens! This larger matrix specimen hosts hundreds of sharp Annabergite crystals of fantastic bright apple-green color to 1 mm in a vug almost 1.5 cm across. Several other areas of Annabergite are scattered on the matrix. This locality is known for the Mg-rich variety of Annabergite once called "Cabrerite" and this is a very good example of this rare mineral. They don’t get any better from this, the premiere locality.
