Chrysocolla ( pseudo Azurite ) with Wulfenite

with up to 22 x 14 mm pseudomorphs

Many well-formed, lustrous, green-blue Chrysocolla pseudomorphs to 22 x 14 mm are nestled in limonitic matrix providing a stark contrast. These are double pseudomorphs, as a few broken crystals at the margins display an interior of fibrous green Malachite, demonstrating replacement of Azurite by Malachite followed by partial replacement of the Malachite by Chrysocolla. Small gemmy orange-yellow crystals of dipyramidal Wulfenite to 1.5 mm are scattered on the matrix, and are classic for this well known Australian locality. In very good condition.
