Anatase on Quartz

22 x 15 x 14 mm overall

This aesthetic specimen host a pair of perfect, sharp, well-formed, silvery-black, near equal-sized (10.5 mm), doubly-terminated Anatase crystals, with mirror-bright faces, perfectly placed on a small bit of matrix accented by small, nearly colorless quartz crystals. Several small, blue Anatase are also nestled on the matrix. The extremely high luster makes these Anatase very difficult for me to photograph, and they are much nicer than the photos show. Collected by Torgeir Garmo, this is a superb thumbnail with no damage.
