Anatase

27 x 15 x 13 mm overall

A perfect, sharp, well-formed, dipyramidal, dark-grey Anatase crystal with lustrous faces and light overgrowths of micro-Anatase, and a well-developed pinacoidal termination. This doubly-terminated Anatase is large for Norway at 27 x 15 x 13 mm in size. Some areas display flashes of gemmy-blue color. The crystal is complete with no damage, and displays a negative face at the bottom reverse where it apparently grew against another crystal. The high luster makes this difficult to photograph. Collected by Torgeir Garmo, this is a superb thumbnail with no damage.
