Rhodochrosite with Quartz

58 x 35 x 22 mm overall

Sharp, salmon-colored rhombs of Rhodochrosite to 7 x 7 mm, are accented with white Quartz points to 10 x 3 mm. In very good condition, this specimen could be trimmed, but I like the historic aspect of it being mounted in a 65 x 65 x 63 mm plastic box, with display labeling from the now defunct Los Angeles Mineralogical Society.
