Silver (pseudo Dyscrasite)
Uranium Mine No. 21, Haje, Pribram, Central Bohemia Region, Bohemia, Czech Republic
31 x 29 x 29 mm overall
This aesthetic Pribram matrix specimen hosts a cluster of upright, distinct, tabular crystals of Dyscrasite (to 10 mm) replaced by Silver, and accented by a nest of fine, curled and curved Silver wires, all with a fine black-silver patina. Between 1985 and 1989, these pseudomorphs were found at reportedly the 800 m level in this uranium-silver mine, which finally closed late in 1989. This is a classic Pribram Silver in excellent condition. Matrix specimens are not common from this find. They may get bigger, but they don't get any better than this, with both the pseudomorphs and native Silver wires all on matrix.
