Lustrous grape-jelly-purple Quartz (var. Amethyst) envelope a sugary white Quartz cast after a prismatic mineral, likely Anhydrite. This was bought by a well-known dealer in Morocco as Moroccan, but it is clearly from Uruguay. It is a very fine cast, and is in excellent condition.
