Quartz (var. Faden)
Tole, Wana, South Waziristan, Federally Administered Tribal Areas, Pakistan
Sold
Large Cabinet
100 x 19 x 12 mm overall
A elongated, gemmy, lustrous, clear Quartz crystal to 76 mm long hosts a faden oriented parallel to the c-axis, which is quite uncommon. A doubly-terminated faden Quartz, with the faden line oriented perpendicular to the crystals, is perched on the termination of the larger crystal. Completely damage free, even the base of the largest Quartz is crystallized. This is an excellent and unique specimen from the find in the 1990s.
