Wulfenite
Toughnut Mine (possibly Empire Mine), Tombstone District, Tombstone, Cochise County, Arizona, USA
Sold
Small Cabinet
63 x 40 x 19 mm overall
with up to 8 mm Wulfenites
Lustrous and bright yellowish-orange Wulfenite crystals to 8 mm cover a brecciated matrix, accented with small white Calcites. This is an outstanding specimen from this locality under the historic town of Tombstone, Arizona. The Toughnut and Empire mines are on the same orebody and connected underground, so the precise locality is uncertain. Collected late in 1988 by Dick Morris and Mark Hays. No damage.
