Brookite on Quartz (var. Smoky)

15 x 12 x 10 mm overall

A sharp, lustrous, black, pseudo-octahedral, single crystal of Brookite measuring 10 x 9 x 7 mm is perched on top of grayish Quartz points to 4 mm. This is a twinned crystal with a distinct suture line, abundant striations on the crystal faces, and a purplish cast. It is in great condition, and is a perfect, high-quality example of classic Arkansas Brookite.
