with up to 10 mm Vanadinites
Fiery orange-red, barrel-shaped crystals of Vanadinite with well-developed apical terminations, are perched on sparkling jet-black matrix. These are large crystals from this find, measuring up to 10 mm long. The Vanadinite has good luster and distinct tapering of the crystal which narrows at the point of attachment. The smaller crystals are transparent and gemmy. This flashy thumbnail specimen was collected in February 1992 by one of the company geologists at a surface cut at Tiger. No damage.
