Cerussite on Galena

with 8 mm Cerussite

Sharp, gemmy, slender crystals of clear Cerussite are nestled in a black matrix of somewhat sparkling Galena. This heavy specimen is ex. Oscar Roddes collection of the now defunct Los Angeles Mineral Society, and is protected in a large perky box as a competition display specimen. In great condition, it is a good historic specimen, with an old label from A. Berger (1870–1956), Wien-Modling.
