Elbaite tourmaline (gemmy!)

A very gemmy rich-green Elbaite tourmaline from Brazil. It is removed from matrix at the base, and has a small chip on the termination. Very difficult for me to photograph. Ed Swoboda personally picked this high quality piece in the 1960s and held it for over 30 years, when I purchased it in the early 1990s. This is a very nice gem crystal that displays well, and the color is superb!
