A historic Tsumeb specimen consisting of sharp prismatic-shaped, green Malachite pseudomorphs after Azurite to 2.2 cm, accented with deep blue crystals of Azurite. Originally from the collection of Wilhelm Thometzek, Director of Mining at the Tsumcor Mine (Tsumeb Mine) from 1912-1922. In 1936 his entire collection was donated to the Natural History Museum in Berlin. It was examined by Paul Ramdohr, the director of the museum, and Hans Siefert, the mineral collection curator. This label most likely was written by Paul Ramdohr, and was probably the museum’s acquisition label.
