Fluorite
Afton Canyon area, Cady Mts., San Bernardino Co., California, USA
Sold
Miniature
54 x 43 x 32 mm overall
Lustrous, translucent, dark-green, intergrown, slightly-rounded octahedrons of Fluorite to 23 mm across. California is not known for producing Fluorite, and there are only two localities that produce green (and octahedral!) Fluorites - this locality and the Felix prospect in Azusa; both of these localities are now closed to collecting. It is free of damage on the face. Strongly fluorescent in LW, and less so in SW, which is uncommon.
