Large Cabinet
99 x 70 x 42 mm overall
up to 52 mm Galena crystal
A superb old-time, Tri-State specimen with two complex, lustrous, gunmetal-gray, cubic galena crystals to 52 mm showing skeletal and fortification features, as well as octahedral modifications. A wedge of pale orange Calcite separates the crystals. The specimen appears to be nearly a floater, with just a small fragment of chert matrix attached to one of the Galenas. This outstanding specimen dates to about the mid 1960s, when this collection was assembled. No damage.
