Silver ( spinel twin ) and Calcite

This native Silver from Batopilas is a classic example of the herringbone-style this locality is famous for. It has sharply elongated spinel twins, connected together in an aesthetic framework. When these Silver specimens were plentiful in the late 1970’s, this was still an exceptional quality piece with unique aesthetics. Today, they are much harder to find. What sets this specimen apart from most is the accents of snow-white Calcite, some showing classic rhombs. This has been in my personal collection since 1983. No damage.
