Elbaite tourmaline with Lepidolite

This bright, hot-pink Elbaite has a perfect flat termination and is capped with a thin green layer. It is incomplete at the base. It has the classic Himalaya dike hot pink color. Small books of purple Lepidolite provide a nice accent. There is one well done repair and only minor chipping. Mined by Eugene Rynerson in the early 1970s, he let out very few specimens during his life, and this has just been released by his grandson. This Elbaite looks much like specimens from the adjacent Himalaya Mine which exploits the same pegmatite dike. This is a great opportunity to own a specimen from a locality that is never on the market.
