Fluorite on Galena
Rogerley Mine, Frosterley, Weardale, County Durham, England
Sold
Miniature
51 x 45 x 25 mm overall
A fine, lustrous, sharp, penetration-twin of green Fluorite, with cubes to 14 mm, is nicely perched on coarsely-crystallized silvery-grey octahedrons of Galena to 17 x 13 mm. Like all Rogerley Fluorites, these are daylight fluorescent. Galena and Fluorite combos from the Rogerley are not common, and this is a very aesthetic example, in excellent condition.
